Meet and Greet: AI-Based Innovators & Researchers serves as a strategic forum for UGM researchers who are interested in and currently exploring the use of AI across various fields of study. This forum is expected to bring together researchers, lecturers, practitioners, and experts—both from AI and non-AI backgrounds—to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices in implementing AI within their respective fields and in higher education environments.
This activity is expected to act as a catalyst for accelerating digital transformation, particularly in the application of AI at UGM, enriching the perspectives of policymakers and implementers, and stimulating the emergence of innovative ideas aligned with UGM’s vision as a leading and innovative world-class research university dedicated to serving the nation and humanity.
Objectives
- To identify various AI-based research and service programs and initiatives that have the potential to be adopted and developed within UGM, while also bringing together UGM research stakeholders from different faculties to share AI innovations.
- To gain insights and knowledge regarding best practices in implementing AI-based research from leading universities abroad.
- To facilitate brainstorming processes and the exchange of ideas among stakeholders regarding effective AI implementation strategies.
- To identify opportunities for collaborative research and funding.
- To establish and strengthen collaborative networks between UGM and various universities abroad in the context of developing the digital ecosystem.
- To formulate strategic recommendations for AI development at UGM over the next five years.
